Weekend Portfolio: Prehispanic Mexican gods

In Mexican Pre-Hispanic societies, art had very different purposes than in the contemporary Western context. It related to religion, its rituals and the worship of the gods. Here we present a selection of pictures of the Pre-Columbian statues exhibited at Fundación Proa until January 8th.
